I don’t skimp when it comes to my family’s health. I purchased a Kinetico K5 and I highly recommend it. It costs three times as much as the MineralPro 700, but there is no bladder and you always have clean water.
Annual filter changes are $150
Not sure how much water gets wasted with the MineralPro, but the K5 probably wastes less water. Cheap systems have 50% waste.
If you’re in Aurora, you’re on well water, get a good water softener and then worry about the drinking water.
